Bishops’ House Wedding venue is the perfect setting for a garden wedding! With lush green trees everywhere and nestled near the foothills this venue is a must see. When I met Shaelynn a year ago I was immediately drawn to her electric smile. In fact it was so contagious throughout the day that everyone was full of smiles!! She had expressed her desire for her wedding to be organic, flowy and all about love. I think the Bishops’ House wedding venue is the perfect spot for the aforementioned wants.
The ceremony was outside in the gardens with little flower girls adding a touch of magic to it! Shaelynn and Kegan chose to use a traditional celtic ceremony of hand binding. I was truly touched when they chose to include their children into the ceremony as well. The whole day was not just about the couple but the new family of four. I really enjoyed watching them both laugh, dance, and cry together as a family! No one was left out and everyone was full of love!!
During their first dance as a newly married couple the skies opened up and POURED rain. Ya’ll it was crazy! The rain started right as their song began and stopped as soon as it was over. The newlyweds were nothing but smiles and laughter. How romantic is a dash of rain for your first dance?!
A little history on the Bishops’ House from their website: “The Friends of The Bishops’ House” is a non-profit organization dedicated to the historic preservation of this grand old building. This beautiful building was once home to a succession of the Episcopal Bishops of Idaho. Each of the men who served as the head of Episcopal Diocese of Idaho lived in this home with their families while serving in the capacity as the Episcopal Bishop of Idaho. The original house was built in the late 1880’s and was remodeled to its current stately, towered Queen Anne style Victorian home in 1899.” Want to check out this venue? CLICK HERE
