I think it is safe to say we are all collectively feeling the heartache of a global pandemic. The swelling tears in our eyes, constant worry, and general feelings of anxiety. You are not alone in the waves of emotions. I too feel your ache. Instead of causing more stress, I am here to give you my top 5 tips for wedding planning during Covid-19.
Top 5 Tips for Wedding Planning During Covid-19
- Do not Cancel your wedding (if you can help it!)
Let’s get creative here instead of succumbing to panic. Do something positive and postpone to a later date in the same year.
- Have a weekday wedding
Don’t lose your deposit to cancelling. Instead, get flexible with your wedding date! Fall and winter are beautiful seasons in Idaho. With limited number of weekends available, most vendors offer discounted rates for weekday weddings. So reach out to your team and see what magic you can create on a weekday! Plus guests will love the cheaper hotel/travel rates of nonweekend events.
- Have an elopement!
Based on current CDC recommendations for the number of guests opt for an elopement.
- Take care of your self
And no, I don’t mean Netflix all day. Get out of your head and into your body! Enjoy some yoga, meditate or get a sweat on! Moving your body is an excellent way to destress, recenter and celebrate you.
- Use your support system
If the thought of replanning your spring wedding into a winter celebration is too much, Ask for help! You hired an amazing team of vendors that are more than happy to help you. Personally, I am offering my support and extensive knowledge of the wedding world any way that I can. PLEASE ask for help. Delegate tasks to your bridesmaids, moms, and anyone else. We are here for you.
