So excited to share engagement session photos from Cator Woolford Gardens in Atlanta, Georgia. One of Atlanta’s most meaningful hidden gems, the Cator Woolford Gardens provides a beautiful event space for life’s special moments — with all proceeds directly supporting the Frazer Center’s mission of fostering inclusion and celebrating diversity in the Atlanta community.
I had such an amazing time capturing the precious moments of Allie and Matthew’s engagement session. It was a real pleasure getting to know and work with this lovely couple, and I just can’t wait until September – when I’ll be honored to attend their wedding!
I love that they chose Cator Woolford Gardens for their engagement photoshoot. The venue is one of Atlanta’s hidden gems that provides beautiful event spaces for hosting life’s special events. Every time I visit this place, I find a new corner or vantage point that I can use when photographing.
The beautiful gardens spread over 39 acres of land and are located at 1815 S. Ponce De Leon Avenue NE in Atlanta. It is absolutely a stunning location tucked just minutes from downtown. The gorgeous Italian-style garden venue has become one of the favorites amongst couples. It offers the perfect spot for timeless and romantic aesthetics – just what Allie and Matthew were looking for in their engagement session.
I absolutely love the 1920’s architecture of the lovely staircase and the gorgeous gardens, which create the perfect backdrop for the photos. The whole estate feels like we are walking back in time, creating the perfect setting for this couple’s enchanting engagement photoshoot.
Cator Woolford Gardens is the only remaining intact historic estate in Metropolitan Atlanta. Even though it is located in the crowded and noisy area of city life, the moment you arrive, it feels like you have been whisked away into a serene and peaceful space miles away from the tumults.
For the photo shoot, the couple and I chose a weekend afternoon at the beginning of Spring. Allie’s smile lit up the engagement session while Matthew showed my camera what true love looked like. There is nothing quite like this time of the year, as I always get some of the most beautiful photos thanks to the bright sunlight. I am glad we could schedule a session in the garden during this period of the year.
Cator Woolford Gardens was truly an ideal location to bring Allie’s and Matthew’s classic and elegant vision to life. I always encourage couples to make their sessions independently, and I loved that they chose the sophisticated and romantic feel for the day. From laughs to twirling in the gorgeous sunlight, I am excited to share the outcome of this adorable session with you all. You will be able to see how the couple’s beautiful love story is spilled all over the photos!
