Katija and Scott, the gorgeous and one of the kindest couples I know, had their dream celebration at the Foxen Canyon Ranch wedding venue in early October. The beautiful venue offered an unforgettable experience with a modern barn and elegant settings. It is situated over 200 acres of working cattle ranch in the heart of Santa Barbara. As a wedding photographer, I have been blessed to capture several memorable events here, so it’s no surprise that this is one of my favorite Santa barbara wedding venues.
With rolling hills and picturesque views, this charming venue is a unique representation of how rustic meets elegance. The striking white barn, open gardens, expansive lawns, and century-old oaks all give a welcoming charm. Foxen Canyon Ranch offers infinite possibilities for hosting events of different sizes.
The private event space boasts multiple gas fire rings, a covered bar, and spectacular 360-degree views of the Santa Ynez Valley. The venue invites you to express your vision and have the magical day you have always dreamt of. The Foxen Canyon Ranch wedding venue provides a luxurious bridal suite to help you feel comfortable while getting ready. And while the bridal party enjoys a few drinks, the groom and his groomsmen can gather in the carriage house. With its 10′ antique bar, horse-drawn wagons, and eclectic artifacts – this place definitely offers a unique feel.
Before heading for the outdoor ceremony, I captured several group portraits with the bride and groom separately. Featuring a lush green garden, fountains, a large patio, and amazing views, the venue provides the perfect “first look” location for the day. Before heading for the reception, we took some time off with the couple for our golden hour session. We enjoyed the beautiful warm light as the sun set below the miles of the vineyard lining the hill.
Having an event planner like Amanda absolutely made the day flow with such ease. There was no stress, plenty of time for photos, mingling with guests, and a knockout reception area. Plus she did all that with a huge smile on her face! Not only did I feel welcome and seen as a vendor she absolutely made sure the couple had their dream day. Everything about this Santa barbara wedding venue is simply amazing, and the unique atmosphere it provides sets the perfect tone for a truly extraordinary experience! As the night was approaching its end, the guests and I watched Katija and Scott enjoying their first dance together. It provided the perfect closure for such an amazing event!
