On the blog, today are some surprise proposal photos Redfish Lake. I was contacted by Charlie to coordinate a location to ask Lauren to marry him while they were in Idaho for a work trip. Charlie is a professional golfer and had a day off so we decided to hike a beautiful trail in the Sawtooth National Forest. Within a few days, we had a location, plan, and even a surprise bottle of champagne courtesy of Charlie’s mom all ready to go.
So on a sunny summer Tuesday I set out on the 4-mile hike to pretend to just be taking photos of the landscape. I brought along my dog (Baby) to be my decoy and had hidden inside my backpack the bottle of champagne. So when Charlie approached me to ask to get a photograph of them in front of the mountains Lauren had NO IDEA that it was all planned out. I acted casual and commented on how I never take photos of people just my dog! So I low key asked them to stand on the sandbar to the best view of the mountains and Charlie asked Lauren if she saw something off in the distance. When she turned to look he got down on one knee and the rest is history! How about that for a smooth proposal?!
