Adoring micro weddings, there is something utterly magical about them! The cozy intimate atmosphere, the heartfelt emotions, sharing your love with only your closest people… everything about them is just super laid back and special. That is why, today, I wish to inspire your senses with this intimate wedding in McCall, Idaho. It embodied the perfect amount of emotions, coziness, and fun vibes!
When I was contacted by Darby and Max’s wonderful and talented wedding planner Tyler Speier, I immediately fell in love with the couple’s idea! They wanted to have a breather from all the plans, pause their grand event and simply have a stripped-down backyard party – in exactly two weeks. Of course, I wasn’t going to miss capturing such an amazing couple who simply wished to celebrate their new chapter with their favorite people!
Their micro wedding in McCall started with the morning preparations, after which Darby arrived at her ceremony by boat, alongside her dad! Got to love a brilliant entrance! The bride was wearing a romantic gown embellished with the most beautiful shimmering details, reflecting the light as she walked down the aisle. They exchanged their heartwarming vows near the lake, next to a natural floral adorned decor.
Loved that we could use the boat to enjoy some cocktails on the water and also for their intimate evening photographs! This allowed them to soak in their newlywed emotions, savoring their iconic day. The summer sunset colors didn’t disappoint as they provided the perfect ambiance for photos. The golden and blue hours were absolutely dreamy!
The couple and their guests enjoyed mingling, having drinks, and a sit-down dinner provided by the Shore Lodge. It was a pleasure listening to the toasts from a few guests, feeling their love and support for their new journey!
As this intimate wedding in McCall was hosted during a challenging time, I am glad that they went for it because nothing can stop love! I am so thankful for those couples who chose to celebrate despite all odds.
