Sun Valley is one of those beautiful and awe-inspiring places you can’t get enough of. So this intimate celebration for Mackenzie and Tony was extremely special to me. The wedding took place in June 2021 in the valley of rugged peaks.
When Mackenzie and Tony told me of their plans, I counted the days until I could celebrate their intimate wedding in Sun Valley, and it was well worth the wait! The connection between me and the couple was instant! They were the most easy-going, fun, and life-loving people I have ever met.
It was an honor to capture their beautiful soul and spirit through my lenses!Every detail of the day was perfect, and the best part was celebrating the couple’s union – their special new beginning as husband and wife. The intimate wedding at Sun Valley took place during the pandemic, so the couple planned to invite only their close family and friends. This destination wedding was a perfect blend of love and fondness.
Sun Valley is a really meaningful place for Mackenzie and her family. She had spent a memorable time with her family in the Sun Valley, so she wished to incorporate the laid-back backyard vibes with dashes of high-end touches. The couple decided to tie the knot in Mackenzie’s family home, which she and her mother had beautifully designed. The family runs an incredible design firm in Portland, Dailey Design Studio. They have uniquely tailored their home to bring a modern, classic, and cozy feel. This non traditional wedding in Sun Valey took place in one of the wide-open spaces in the backyard that offered beautiful backdrops of the valley. As the couple exchanged vows, all their friends and family cheered for their love and new beginnings.
The day was planned to perfection by Kelley of Blue Bottle Events – she really is the best in her field! She made sure the day went smoothly without a single hiccup. The Haven Sun Valley was in charge of making the delicious food, while the custom drinks were prepared by Road Bars. The couple wanted me to capture their intimate wedding in Sun Valley as it unfolded without including many staged photographs.
We spent the rest of the evening enjoying the food, dancing with the couple, and capturing some pretty stunning shots.It was such a delight that I got to know Mackenzie and Tony; I will definitely cherish this day in the Sun Valley forever.
